Choose which pages appear in your sidebar

How DashVue picks your starting sidebar from your setup goals, and how the Show all pages toggle works.

DashVue tailors your sidebar to the goals you picked when you first set up your account, so you only see the tools you actually use. This article explains how that starting selection is chosen and how to widen or narrow it later using the Show all pages toggle.

How your starting sidebar is chosen

When you first set up your account, the setup wizard asks what you want to use DashVue for, for example profit tracking, listings, repricing, offers, inventory, or tax. DashVue uses your answers to work out which pages are relevant to you and only shows those in your sidebar to begin with. If you only ticked one or two goals, your sidebar will look shorter than someone who ticked everything, and that is expected behaviour rather than a fault.

The Show all pages toggle

You can override the goal based sidebar at any time from Settings → Preferences, in the Sidebar Visibility section. Turning on Show all pages reveals every page in the app, regardless of the goals you originally chose. This is useful if you want to explore areas of DashVue you did not select at setup, or if the way you use DashVue has grown since you signed up.

  1. Go to Settings → Preferences.
  2. Scroll to the Sidebar Visibility section.
  3. Switch Show all pages on to see every page in your sidebar.
  4. Switch it off again to return to a sidebar based on your setup wizard goals.

What happens when you turn it back off

Turning Show all pages off does not remember whatever individual pages you were looking at while it was on. It simply re-applies the goal based defaults from your original setup wizard answers, so any page outside those goals disappears from the sidebar again.

This is not a per-page custom list

The Show all pages toggle is an all-or-nothing switch, not a way to pick and keep individual pages. If you want a specific page to stay visible long term, leave Show all pages switched on rather than relying on it being remembered once you switch it off.

If your needs have changed

If you find yourself using more of DashVue than your original setup goals cover, the simplest option is to leave Show all pages switched on so nothing is ever hidden from you. There is no separate step to redo the setup wizard itself, so the toggle in Settings → Preferences is the place to make this change.
