Draft a reply with AI
How DashVue's Draft with AI button suggests a reply to a buyer message, and the limits on subscription, invented details, and hourly use.
This article explains how the Draft with AI button works when you are replying to a buyer message in DashVue, what it can and cannot do, and what you need on your account before you can use it.
What Draft with AI does
When you open a buyer conversation, you will see a “Draft with AI” option next to the reply box. Selecting it asks DashVue to read the message thread and suggest a reply, written in British English, which it places into the reply box for you.
The draft is a starting point, not a finished reply. It lands in the box as editable text, so you can change wording, add details, or delete it entirely before you decide to send anything.
AI never sends a message on its own
Draft with AI only fills the reply box. It never sends a message to a buyer by itself. You always review the suggested text and choose to send it, edit it, or discard it.
What the AI cannot do for you
Be aware of what the AI draft leaves out. It reads the conversation you already have with the buyer, but it does not have access to courier tracking systems or your payment and refund records. Because of this:
- It cannot invent or look up a tracking number. If a reply needs one, add it yourself before sending.
- It cannot issue or confirm a refund. Refund decisions and processing still happen through your normal refund process, not through the drafted text.
Always read a drafted reply in full and check any specific claims (dates, order details, promises to the buyer) against your own records before you send it.
What you need to use it
Requires an active subscription
Draft with AI needs an active DashVue subscription. If your subscription has lapsed, the button will not be available to draft a reply for you.
Using Draft with AI draws on your account’s monthly allowance of AI actions. Every account gets a free monthly allowance, and you can add more with an AI Lite, AI Pro, or AI Elite pack if you use AI features often.
Hourly cap
On top of your monthly allowance, drafting replies with AI is capped per hour. If you hit that hourly cap, wait for it to reset before requesting another AI draft, or write the reply yourself in the meantime.
