Finding a listing fast with search

Use the Listings search box to find any listing by title, SKU or eBay item ID, and bookmark the search from the page URL.

When you have more than a handful of listings, scrolling to find one wastes time. This article explains how the search box on the Listings page works, what it searches, and how to share or bookmark a search, plus what it cannot do so you know when to fall back on scrolling or sorting instead.

The Listings page has a single free-text search box above the table. Type into it and DashVue narrows the grid to listings that match.

  1. Go to Listings.
  2. Click into the search box at the top of the table.
  3. Type any part of a listing’s title, its SKU, or its eBay item ID.
  4. The grid updates to show only listings matching what you have typed.

There is no separate search button and no need to press enter, the grid filters as you type.

What the search box looks at

One box covers three fields at once, so you do not need to know which one you are searching by:

  • Listing title
  • SKU
  • eBay item ID

This is useful if you only remember part of a product name, or you have an item ID from an eBay notification and want to jump straight to that listing in DashVue.

Whatever you search for is saved into the page URL as a ?q= parameter. That means you can bookmark the URL to return to the same search later, or copy and share the link with a teammate so they land on the same filtered view of Listings.

No tags, saved filters or segments

The search box is the only way to narrow the Listings grid right now. DashVue does not have listing tags, saved filters, or customer-style segments to build on. If you need the same search often, bookmarking the URL is currently the best way to get back to it quickly.
