Customising your listings table: show, hide, reorder and sort columns
How to show, hide, reorder and sort columns on your DashVue listings table, and how your layout choices are saved.
The listings table is built to be rearranged. This article covers how to show or hide columns, drag headers into a new order, sort by any column, switch the Category column between compact and full display, and reset everything back to the defaults.
Opening the table settings
From the Listings page, look for the Settings control above the table. Opening it shows a Columns list, a checkbox for every column DashVue can display for your listings.
- Go to Listings in DashVue.
- Click Settings above the table to open the settings popup.
- In the Columns list, tick a column to show it, or untick a column to hide it.
- Close the popup. The table updates straight away to match your choices.
Hiding columns you do not use is the quickest way to make a wide table easier to scan, especially on a smaller screen.
Reordering columns by dragging
You are not stuck with the default column order. Click and hold a column header, drag it left or right to where you want it, then release. The rest of the table shifts to make room, and your new order takes effect immediately.
Sorting the table
Click a column header to sort the whole table by that column. This works for any visible column, so you can, for example, sort by price, by listing quality, or by any other column you have chosen to show.
Category column: compact or full display
The Category column has its own display toggle, separate from the show and hide checkboxes for other columns. Use it to switch between a compact view, which saves space in the table, and a full view, which shows more category detail. Pick whichever suits how much room you want the Category column to take up.
Resetting your layout
If you have hidden, reordered or sorted things into a state you no longer want, open the settings popup and use the Reset link. This restores the default set of columns, their default order and the default sort.
Layout choices are saved per browser
Your column and sort choices persist per browser, not on your DashVue account. If you switch to a different browser or a different device, or clear that browser’s data, your listings table will show the default layout again and you will need to set up your columns, order and sort once more.
