Which of your listings can receive offers

How eBay decides which listings show up as eligible for offers, and why a listing appears or disappears from the list.

This article explains why some of your listings show up as eligible for sending an offer and others do not, so you know what to expect when you open your offers list and a listing you were hoping to see is not there.

How a listing becomes eligible

eBay, not DashVue, decides which listings can receive an offer. A listing only becomes eligible once at least one buyer has shown genuine interest in it, either by watching it or by adding it to their basket. Until that happens, eBay does not open the listing up for offers, so it will not appear in your eligible list no matter how long it has been live.

This means eligibility has nothing to do with how the listing is priced, how old it is, or how it is performing in DashVue’s profit tracking. It is purely a signal that eBay itself generates from buyer behaviour.

Where you see eligible listings

DashVue surfaces eligible listings in two places:

  1. The eligible list on the Send Offer screen, where you pick a listing and send an offer to the buyer or buyers who triggered its eligibility.
  2. The eligible listings panel on your Offers overview, which gives you a running view of everything currently open for an offer across your account.

Both views read from the same eligibility data that DashVue pulls in from eBay, so you will always see the same set of listings whichever screen you check.

Why the list changes between syncs

Eligibility is not fixed. It refreshes every time DashVue syncs with your eBay account. A listing can become eligible between one sync and the next because a buyer has just watched it or added it to their basket, and equally a listing you saw yesterday may not be showing today if that signal is no longer current. The list you see in DashVue always reflects eBay’s eligibility as of your most recent sync, not a permanent state.

Why a listing disappears after you send an offer

Once you have sent an offer against a listing, that row drops off the eligible list. This is expected: the eligibility was there so you could act on it, and once you have sent the offer to the interested buyer, there is nothing left pending for that listing to show. If the same or a different buyer later watches the listing or adds it to their basket again, it can become eligible again on a future sync.

DashVue cannot make a listing eligible

Eligibility for offers is set entirely by eBay, based on buyer watches and basket activity. DashVue cannot force a listing onto the eligible list, and it cannot make an ineligible listing available for an offer early. If a listing you expected to see is missing, it simply has not met eBay’s eligibility signal yet, or that signal has since lapsed.
