Send a discount offer to buyers watching your listing
Learn how to send a time-limited discount to a listing's watchers and cart abandoners from DashVue, and what an eBay Full Access connection allows.
This article explains how to send a discount offer to the people watching or holding a single listing in their cart, straight from DashVue, so you can nudge undecided buyers towards a purchase without cutting your live listing price for everyone.
What sending an offer does
Send Offer works on one listing at a time. You choose a discount percentage and a duration, DashVue works out what buyers will actually pay, and the offer is sent to that item’s current watchers and anyone who has added it to their cart without checking out. It does not change your public listing price, so shoppers who have not shown interest yet still see your normal price.
How to send an offer
- Open the listing you want to discount and go to Send Offer.
- Pick a discount between 5% and 50% off the current price.
- Choose how long the offer stays open, from 1 to 7 days.
- Check the “buyers see” price preview, which updates live as you adjust the discount so you know the exact price your watchers will be offered before you commit.
- Send the offer to the listing’s watchers and cart abandoners.
Choosing a discount and duration
A smaller discount over a shorter window can work well for items that are already close to selling, while a larger discount over a longer window suits stock that has been watched for a while but has not converted. Because the price preview updates as you move the slider, you can compare a few combinations before deciding, rather than sending an offer and then wondering what buyers actually saw.
Who receives the offer
Offers go only to people connected to that specific listing: buyers currently watching it, and buyers who added it to their eBay cart but have not completed checkout. It is a targeted nudge to warm leads on one item, not a broadcast discount across your store.
Needs a Full Access eBay connection
Sending an offer pushes a change to eBay, so it needs a Full Access eBay connection. A read-only connection lets you view and draft offers but cannot publish them. If your store is connected as read-only, upgrade the connection to Full Access before trying to send.
