Automatically send offers to your watchers
Set up one global rule so DashVue automatically offers a discount to watchers across your eligible listings, and understand its limits.
This article explains how to turn on automatic offers in DashVue, so eligible listings are offered a discount to their watchers on a schedule instead of you sending each offer by hand, and what the single global rule can and cannot do.
What automatic offers does
Automatic offers is one on/off switch that applies across your store. When it is on, DashVue periodically checks your eligible listings and sends a discount offer to each one’s current watchers on your behalf, using the settings you configured rather than you opening each listing yourself.
How to set up the rule
- Go to the Send Offer area and open the automatic offers settings.
- Turn the automatic offers switch on.
- Set the discount percentage you want offered.
- Set how long each offer stays open before it expires.
- Set a margin floor so DashVue will not send an offer that would cut your profit below the level you choose.
- Optionally add a message to include with each automatic offer.
- Save the rule. DashVue applies it to your eligible listings from that point on.
One global rule, not per-listing targeting
There is a single global rule for your whole store: one discount percentage, one duration, one margin floor, and one optional message, all set in the same place. You cannot set a different discount or duration for a specific listing or category and you cannot run more than one rule at a time. If you want a different discount on a particular item, use a one-off offer on that listing instead of the automatic rule.
Offer frequency
Each eligible listing is offered to its watchers at most once a week under the automatic rule. DashVue will not send a second automatic offer to the same listing’s watchers before that week is up, even if the listing is still eligible and the rule is still on.
Needs a Full Access eBay connection
Automatic offers push changes to eBay on your behalf, so this feature needs a Full Access eBay connection. A read-only connection can view your listings but cannot have offers sent on its behalf. If your store is connected as read-only, upgrade to Full Access before turning the rule on.
No per-listing or per-category control
Remember that the rule is global: every eligible listing shares the same discount, duration, margin floor and message. There is no way to exclude a category or set a separate rule for a subset of your stock. Turn the rule off, or send a manual offer instead, for anything you want to treat differently.
