A tour of the listing builder (all 9 sections)
A walkthrough of every section in DashVue's listing builder, plus autosave, the live preview, and the fixed price only publish flow.
This article walks you through every section of DashVue’s listing builder, so you know what each field is for, how to jump straight to what still needs fixing, and what to expect when you come to publish.
Opening the builder
From Listings, start a new listing (or open a saved draft) to open the Create Listing builder. The left hand column holds nine collapsible sections you fill in as you go. The right hand rail stays visible as you scroll and shows a listing quality bar, a live eBay style preview, and the publish button.
The nine sections
Each section can be expanded or collapsed independently, and a red counter on a section’s header shows how many fields inside it still need attention.
- Item Information. Title, subtitle, condition, channel SKU, category (with an optional second category), store category, international site visibility, and your shipping, payment and return business policies.
- Identifiers. Brand, UPC, EAN, ISBN, MPN and ePID (eBay Product ID). Fill in whichever apply to your item, buyers and eBay use these to match your listing to the right product.
- Media. Your photos, an optional hosted video URL, and a choice between eBay hosting and DashVue hosting for your images. At least one photo is required before you can publish.
- Description. The main listing description (basic HTML such as paragraphs and bullet lists is supported), an optional shorter mobile description, meta keywords and a meta description, and an optional saved design template to wrap your description in.
- Custom Specifics. eBay’s recommended item specifics for the category you picked, plus a space to add your own custom specifics for anything else buyers might filter by.
- Pricing. Listing type, price, retail price (RRP), Best Offer and private listing toggles, VAT rate, and repricer floor and ceiling prices.
- Shipping and Size. Item location, package type, measurement system, and weight and dimensions.
- Inventory. Quantity, plus optional shelf and bin references for keeping your own stock organised.
- GPSR / Compliance. Manufacturer name, email and address, and EU responsible person details. This is required for many items sold to EU or Northern Ireland buyers under the General Product Safety Regulation. Leave it blank if it does not apply to your item.
Jumping to what needs fixing
A status strip above the sections shows whether the listing is a draft or already published, and how many fields across the whole form still need attention. Use the All fields and Issues toggle above the sections to switch between seeing every field and seeing only the sections that still have something outstanding, so you do not have to scroll through fields you have already filled in.
Live preview and autosave
The right hand rail keeps a live, eBay style preview of your listing so you can see how the title, photos, item specifics and price will look as you edit them. Your changes autosave quietly in the background while you work, and you can also press Save draft at any point for an explicit save with its own confirmation. When every required field is filled in, the status strip and publish button switch to a “ready to list” state.
Publishing: fixed price only
DashVue lists fixed price, not auction
The Listing type field in the Pricing section also shows an Auction option, but auction listings are not supported end to end in DashVue. Choose Buy It Now (fixed price) when you list through DashVue, the Auction option is not one to rely on here.
Publishing (or pushing changes to an already published listing) needs a Full Access eBay connection. With a read only connection you can still create and view drafts and use the live preview, but the publish button will not be available until you upgrade to Full Access.
