Adding product safety (GPSR) details to a listing
Add manufacturer and EU responsible person details and safety information to an eBay listing in DashVue for buyers in the EU or Northern Ireland.
The GPSR / Compliance section of the listing builder is where you add manufacturer and EU responsible person details, plus safety information, for items you sell to buyers in the EU or Northern Ireland. This article covers what the section is for, how to fill it in, and the limits on how it works.
What GPSR compliance is for
The GPSR / Compliance section is labelled “EU/UK product safety details” in the listing builder. It exists to meet the General Product Safety Regulation, which requires many items sold to EU and Northern Ireland buyers to carry manufacturer and responsible person details. If GPSR does not apply to an item you are listing, you can leave the section blank.
Filling in the details
- Open your listing in the builder and go to the GPSR / Compliance section.
- Under manufacturer details, enter the manufacturer name, manufacturer email and manufacturer address.
- Under responsible person details, enter the EU responsible person name, responsible person email and responsible person address.
- In the safety information field, add any safety information or warnings that apply to the item.
- Leave any field blank if it does not apply to the item you are listing.
No bulk GPSR editor for live listings
GPSR details are entered per listing at create time in the listing builder. There is no bulk GPSR editor for listings that are already live on eBay, so if you need to add or change GPSR details on an existing listing, you will need to do it through that listing’s own edit flow rather than across many listings at once.
Publishing and account access
DashVue is eBay UK only and works with a single connected eBay account. Publishing a listing, including any GPSR details you have added, needs a Full Access eBay connection. A read-only connection lets you draft and view listings but cannot publish changes to eBay. DashVue publishes fixed-price, Buy It Now listings, it does not create auctions.
