Adding photos and a video to your listing

Upload up to 24 photos, reorder them, set a cover photo, choose image hosting and add one video URL to an eBay listing in DashVue.

Photos are what sell an eBay listing, and DashVue’s Media section is where you upload them, put them in the right order, pick a cover photo, choose where the images are hosted, and add a video link. This article covers the upload rules, the ordering and cover photo controls, the hosting choice, video, and what the Media section does not do.

Uploading photos

In the Media section of the listing builder you can upload up to 24 photos per listing. Each photo must be a JPEG, PNG or WebP file, no larger than 12 MB, and between 500×500 and 9000×9000 pixels.

  1. Open your listing in the builder and go to the Media section.
  2. Drag your photo files into the upload area, or use it to browse and select files from your device.
  3. DashVue checks each file’s format, size and dimensions as it uploads, so anything outside the limits above will be rejected.

You can keep adding photos up to the 24 photo limit for that listing, across as many uploads as you need.

Reordering photos and setting the cover photo

Once photos are uploaded, drag them in the Media section to change the order they will appear in on the eBay listing. The first photo in the order is used as the cover photo, the image buyers see in search results and as the main image on the listing page.

  • Drag any photo to the front of the row to make it the new cover photo.
  • The order you set in DashVue is the order eBay will display the photos in, so put your strongest, clearest shot first.

Choosing image hosting

DashVue lets you choose whether your listing photos are hosted by eBay or hosted by DashVue. This choice is available in the Media section alongside the upload area, and applies to the images on that listing.

Adding a video

You can add one video to a listing by entering its URL in the video field in the Media section. DashVue supports a single video URL per listing rather than uploading or hosting video files directly.

No built-in photo editor or watermarking

The Media section is for uploading, ordering and hosting your photos, it does not include photo editing or watermarking tools. If you need to crop, adjust or watermark an image, do that in DashVue’s separate Image Editor before uploading the finished photo here.

Publishing and account access

DashVue is eBay UK only and works with a single connected eBay account. Publishing a listing, including its photos and video, needs a Full Access eBay connection. A read-only connection lets you draft and view listings but cannot publish changes to eBay. DashVue publishes fixed-price, Buy It Now listings, it does not create auctions.
