Your eBay balance, funds on hold and selling limits
How to read the Available, Processing and On hold figures on your dashboard, and what your monthly selling limit means.
Your dashboard shows a live snapshot of your eBay seller funds and how much of your monthly selling limit you have used, so you can see at a glance what money is actually available to you and whether you are close to being capped on new listings or sales.
Available, processing and on hold funds
DashVue reads three fund states directly from your eBay account each time it syncs:
- Available: funds eBay has cleared and released to you. This is the amount that is actually ready to be paid out.
- Processing: funds from recent sales that eBay is still working through before release. This is normal and usually clears within eBay’s standard payout timelines.
- On hold: funds eBay has frozen, most often because of a buyer dispute, a return, a new account review, or a performance or policy flag on your listings. On hold funds are not available to you until eBay itself releases them.
Seeing a rise in on hold funds is usually the first sign of an open case or return you need to deal with directly in eBay, since DashVue does not manage disputes on your behalf.
Your monthly selling limit
eBay caps how many items and how much total value you can sell each month, particularly for newer or lower-volume accounts. The selling-limit banner on your dashboard shows how many listings and how much value you have used against that limit, so you can see how close you are before you plan a bulk upload or a big restock.
If you are near your limit, the usual options are to wait for the monthly reset, sell through existing stock first, or request a limit increase directly with eBay.
Where this data comes from
Both the funds card and the selling-limit banner are read straight from your eBay connection at sync time. DashVue does not calculate or estimate these figures itself, and it does not hold or move your money at any point. It simply mirrors what eBay is currently reporting for your account.
These figures are display only
Available, processing and on hold amounts, and your selling-limit usage, are read from eBay at sync time and shown for information only. DashVue cannot release on hold funds, change your payout schedule, or request a selling-limit increase on your behalf. For any of those, you will need to contact eBay directly.
If the numbers look out of date
Because these figures come from your eBay connection rather than from DashVue’s own records, they refresh on each sync rather than in real time. If you have just resolved a dispute or made a large sale and the balance has not moved yet, give it until the next sync before assuming something is wrong.
