Fix a listing with AI: sharper title, description and item specifics in a couple of taps
Use DashVue's AI fixes to rewrite a listing's title, description and item specifics, review the changes, then push them to eBay.
DashVue’s AI listing optimiser looks at a single listing and suggests sharper title, description, item specifics and keywords, one fix at a time or all together, then shows you the exact changes before anything is sent to eBay. This article covers the individual fix buttons, the “Fix everything” option, how the review and apply step works, and the honest limits on what it can do.
The individual fix buttons
Open a listing in the listing optimiser and you will see a set of separate fixes you can run on it:
- Rewrite title, which suggests a new listing title.
- Rewrite description, which suggests new listing description copy.
- Fill specifics, which suggests values for the item specifics eBay asks for in that listing’s category.
- Suggest keywords, which suggests search terms relevant to the item that you may be missing.
Each button runs on its own, so you can, for example, only ask for a title rewrite and leave everything else untouched, rather than regenerating the whole listing at once.
“Fix everything”: running all four at once
If you want DashVue to look at title, description, item specifics and keywords together, use the “Fix everything” option instead of running each button individually. It produces suggestions for all four areas in one pass, which you then review together before deciding what to keep.
Reviewing the diff before anything changes
Running a fix, whether a single one or “Fix everything”, does not change your live eBay listing straight away. DashVue shows you a diff, the current wording next to the suggested wording, for each part it touched, so you can see exactly what would change.
- Run a fix, or Fix everything, on the listing.
- Read through the diff for the title, description, item specifics and keyword suggestions.
- Decide whether you are happy with the suggested wording for this listing.
- Select Apply to eBay to push the changes, or leave the listing untouched if you do not want to use the suggestion.
Nothing reaches eBay until you choose to apply it, so you always have a chance to check the suggested copy reads the way you want before it goes live.
How the change reaches eBay, and the limits worth knowing
When you apply a fix, DashVue writes the change back to your live eBay listing by revising it in place, so the listing keeps its existing sales history rather than being ended and relisted.
Needs Full Access, and it is one listing at a time
Applying an AI fix needs a Full Access eBay connection. A read-only connection can generate and show you the suggested diff, but cannot push it to eBay. The listing optimiser also works on one listing at a time: there is no bulk option to apply a fix across multiple listings in one go.
DashVue is eBay UK only and works with a single connected eBay account. Fixes apply to fixed-price, Buy It Now listings, DashVue does not create auctions, and it never writes stock quantity back to eBay as part of a fix.
AI actions used by a fix
Running a fix, whether an individual button or Fix everything, uses AI actions from your account’s allowance. Every account gets a monthly allowance of free AI actions, with an hourly cap alongside it, and optional AI action packs if you use more than the free allowance in a month. Suggestions are not unlimited, so it is worth using the individual fixes when you only need one part of a listing improved, rather than always running Fix everything.
