DashVue — A Link My Books Alternative
The Best Alternative to
Link My Books
Link My Books is excellent at its job — posting your eBay payouts into Xero or QuickBooks. DashVue answers a different question: what did each order actually make? No ledger software required.
7-day free trial · No card required · Built by a UK eBay seller of 7 years
Representative views. Link My Books reconciles payouts into your accounting software; DashVue is the dashboard you look at every day — different questions, so neither is simply "better".
Profit per order, not per payout
A payout summary tells you what eBay paid you. DashVue tells you what each order made — fees, postage and cost of goods deducted live.
No Xero or QuickBooks required
DashVue is the whole view, standalone. One subscription instead of a bridge plus the ledger it posts into.

Every feature on every tier, 7-day free trial, no card required. From £8.99/month.
Bridge or dashboard?
Do you want books — or answers?
Link My Books is a bridge: it turns each eBay payout into a clean summary invoice inside Xero or QuickBooks, VAT handled properly. If you (or your accountant) live in Xero, that's exactly what you want.
But a bridge needs a ledger on the other side, and a payout summary can't tell you which order lost money on postage. DashVue is the other shape: one standalone dashboard where every order shows its own net profit — no ledger subscription underneath it.
What the bridge route costs
A bridge needs a ledger on the other side — you pay for both.
Standard prices from linkmybooks.com and xero.com/uk (16 July 2026), shown inc. 20% VAT; intro discounts not shown. QuickBooks (from £10 + VAT) is the cheaper ledger option.
It needs Xero or QuickBooks
There's no standalone mode — output is summary invoices posted into Xero or QuickBooks Online, which you also pay for. DashVue needs neither.

Payout summaries, not per-order profit
The model is one clean summary per payout plus channel-level P&L — deliberately. DashVue's unit is the order: every sale shows fees, postage, COGS and what's left.

The meter follows your order count
Pricing runs from £15/month on a rolling average of your orders across channels, with automatic plan upgrades as you grow. DashVue's tiers go by store size, and every tier has every feature.

Full credit where due: Link My Books is UK-made and superbly rated by its own users — 5/5 across 510+ reviews on the Xero App Store and 4.9 on Capterra (their published figures, 16 July 2026). If double-entry books in Xero are what you want, take both free trials and keep the one that fits.
DashVue is built for the UK
Built for UK eBay — not localised for it
A tool that serves every country has to stay generic. DashVue only does eBay UK — so the UK details are the product.
And your data sits with a UK-registered ICO data controller — answerable under English law.
And switching is three steps, not a migration
Connect your eBay account
Sign in through eBay's official connection — it takes a couple of minutes, and connecting changes nothing on your store. We confirm your store size here too.
Watch the dashboard fill itself
Orders, fees, postage and listings flow in on their own. Add your cost of goods when you're ready and the profit numbers go from good to exact.
Cancel the old bills when you're sure
Keep Link My Books and Xero running alongside for the whole 7-day trial — no card needed. If DashVue answers the daily questions on its own, the bridge route becomes optional.
One subscription, not five

Bookkeeping is one job. This is the whole stack DashVue replaces — tool by tool, bill by bill.
Buying it separately
With DashVue
You keep ≈ £207 every month
That's over £2,400 a year vs buying the stack above separately.
Entry prices from each provider's public pricing page (16 July 2026), billed monthly, inc. 20% UK VAT where charged; intro discounts not shown; Link My Books from £15 + VAT plus Xero Ignite £16 + VAT ≈ £37; $19 ≈ £15. DashVue covers these jobs for eBay UK selling, not every feature of every tool. Logos belong to their owners.
